June 2026 – Tosca

13 June - 14 June
£22

Tosca – A woman cornered by patriarchy and politics who takes control in the only way the world allows her. Originally set in Rome in June 1800, this production reflects on 1940’s Italy at a time of political uncertainty and the rise of fascism leading into the second world war.

Containing some of Puccini’s best-known lyrical arias, the music provides the audience to reflect on the abuse of power and the struggle for self preservation. The opera asks the ultimate question which echoes loudly in any age where truth is weaponized – How far will we go to preserve dignity in the face of tyranny?

Sung in Italian with English Surtitles
