BELLISSIMO – ITALIAN OPERA HIGHLIGHTS – City of Manchester Opera
An evening of Italian Opera Highlights with the City of Manchester Opera, Conductor Juan Ortuño, and accompanist Jonathan Ellis; and highlights were in abundance.
There were times when I had to remind myself that this group is essentially an amateur association, as there were some powerful, and fine voices, and all more than ably accompanied by Jonathan Ellis.
John Elliott, Heather Heighway, and Lucy Lee were excellent in their solo roles – much enjoyed by the audience.
It was a very enjoyable evening – thank you!
